Världsmästerskapet i ishockey för herrar 1930 spelades 31 januari-10 februari 1930 och var det fjärde världsmästerskapet i ishockey och gällde samtidigt som det femtonde Europamästerskapet i ishockey. Detta var den första världsmästerskapsturneringen som inte också var en olympisk ishockeyturnering. Matcherna spelades i Chamonix, Frankrike, Berlin, Tyskland och Wien, Österrike. Kanada fick en friplats till finalen och slog där Tyskland med 6-1. Kanada representerades av laget Port Arthur Bearcats. Schweiz vann bronset efter att ha förlorat i "semifinalen" mot Tyskland.
Sverige uteblev efter att 1929/1930 ha upplevt den varmaste vintern sedan 1791. Isarna frös först i februari 1930, så spelarna hade för lite matchträning.[1]
