Ibragim Samadov (EUN) diskvalificerades efter att han slängt medaljen på podiet och lämnat medaljceremonin. Internationella olymiska kommitten bestämde att inte ge medaljen till fjärdeplacerade 
Chon Chol Ho (PRK) då Samadovs övertramp skett utom tävlan.
