The Cosmos Rocks är ett studioalbum av Queen + Paul Rodgers, som släpptes 15 september 2008. Detta är Queens första studioalbum sedan 1995, då Made in Heaven gavs ut.
1 december 2007 släpptes låten "Say It's Not True" som gratis download på Queens officiella webbplats. 31 december släpptes den som singel, och alla intäkter gick till Nelson Mandelas Aids Foundation, 46664.[1] En vecka innan albumet släpptes, gavs låten "C-lebrity" ut som singel.
Inspelning
Queen + Paul Rodgers började spela in låtar till skivan i november 2007 i Roger Taylors egenägda studio The Priory. Eftersom studion låg i Taylors hus fick de möjlighet att spela dygnet runt.[2] Under konserterna spelade flera musiker Queen + Paul Rodgers, men på The Cosmos Rocks var May, Rodgers och Taylor de enda medverkande; anledningen till detta var att May, Rodgers och Taylor ville lära känna varandra bättre. Ingen basist hyrdes in till spelningarna, så May, Taylor och Rodgers turades om att spela bas på olika låtar. Till exempel spelade Rodgers bas på Time to Shine, som blev den första låten att spelas in av bandet. Varje låt på albumet spelades in live och gavs sedan dubbningar.[3] Inspelningarna fortsatte fram till augusti 2008.[4]

The Flag of Europe is the flag and emblem of the European Union (EU) and Council of Europe (CoE). It consists of a circle of 12 golden (yellow) stars on a blue background. It was created in 1955 by the CoE and adopted by the EU, then the European Communities, in the 1980s.
The CoE and EU are distinct in membership and nature. The CoE is a 47-member international organisation dealing with human rights and rule of law, while the EU is a quasi-federal union of 27 states focused on economic integration and political cooperation. Today, the flag is mostly associated with the latter.
It was the intention of the CoE that the flag should come to represent Europe as a whole, and since its adoption the membership of the CoE covers nearly the entire continent. This is why the EU adopted the same flag. The flag has been used to represent Europe in sporting events and as a pro-democracy banner outside the Union.
