Sandtorgs kommun var en tidigare kommun i Troms fylke i norra Norge. Kommunen omfattade den södra delen av nuvarande Harstads kommun. Staden Harstad utgjorde kommunens centralort även om den inte ingick i kommunen.
Administrativ historik
Sandtorgs kommun upprättades 1926 genom utbrytning ur Trondenes kommun. Kommunen hade 4 224 invånare vid upprättandet.[3]
Den 1 januari 1964 gick kommunen, tillsammans med Trondenes kommun, upp i Harstads kommun. Kommunens hade då 7 512 invånare.[3]

From the early 13th century there was a tradingpost at Sandtorgholmen. This location became more important in the late 18th century when pilot services was added for foreign and local ships. The trading post continued to be a focal point of Sandtorg until 1945 when the Norwegian Army's communication services took over the facilities after the German occupation (1940-45). The army returned Sandtorgholmen to civilian use in the 1990s. Today the Sandtorgholmen trading post features a hotel with a harbor restaurant and meeting facilities.
