Sado är en flod i södra i norra Portugal som rinner upp i Serra da Vigia, på en höjd av 230 meter och mynnar ut i Atlanten vid Setúbal, efter att ha runnit 180 km. [1]
Under sin väg mot havet passeras Alvalade och Alcácer do Sal och flodens estuarium skiljer Setúbal från Troia. Det är en av relativt få portugisiska floder som flyter från söder mot norr.

The Sado River is a river in Southern Portugal, and is one of the major rivers in the country. It flows in a South/North direction through 175 km from its springs in the Caldeirão hills before entering the Atlantic Ocean in an estuary in the city of Setúbal.
Setúbal is a city and a municipality in Portugal with a total area of 172.0 km² and a total population of 118,696 inhabitants in the municipality. The city proper has 89,303[1] inhabitants.
The municipality is composed of 8 parishes, and is located in the district of Setúbal.
