Rayleigh är en ort och civil parish i Rochford i Essex i England. Orten har 30 196 invånare (2001).[1] Byn nämndes i Domedagsboken (Domesday Book) år 1086, och kallades då Ragewneia / eleia.[2]

The Rayleigh Lodge, Rayleigh. Pub/restaurant in The Chase. The name recalls a hunting lodge that reputedly stood near here when Rayleigh Park was one of Henry VIII's estates. A convenient place for a bit of deer worrying and Anne Boleyn at nearby Rochford Hall.
