Rally-VM 1980 var den åttonde säsongen av Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA:s) rally-VM. Säsongen bestod av 12 deltävlingar. Antalet deltävlingar var samma som föregående år, men deltävlingen i Québec byttes ut mot Rally Codasur, vilket var den första deltävlingen att köras i Sydamerika, medan man i Nordamerika inte kom att köra på 25 år.
En ny förarmästare kröntes då Fiats västtyska förare Walter Röhrl tog segern, och samtidigt vann Fiats tredje konstruktörstitel. Finländske Hannu Mikkola och svenske Björn Waldegård hamnade återigen på en poängs skillnad i slutställningen, på andra respektive tredje plats. Fiats position totalt utmanades av både Datsun och Ford, men ingen av dem kunde besegra Fiat. 1980 var också Mercedes-Benzs bästa säsong, och sista försök att tävla om titeln, och man blev fyra totalt.

The original flag created by Manuel Belgrano in 1812, which is also supposed to be used by Argentine army during the battles for the independence. This flag was the "minor flag" until 1985 when the promulgation of Law 23.208/85 stated that the Sol de Mayo should be included in all the national flags of Argentina, without exceptions.
