Psoralea lanceolata is found occasionally out in the sagebrush steppe especially where sandy soils perdominate but this species is also commonly found roadside including adjacent to the road bed on native substrates perhaps where well drained but regardless of sandiness.

Common on sandy soil within the sagebrush steppe but also found roadside especially where little disturbed by grading, mowing, and spraying (e.g., inside the INL lands).
