Cosmodela barmanica, belong to Cicindelidae, commonly known as Common tiger beetles, are generally brightly colored and metallic beetles, often with some sort of patterning of ivory or cream-colored markings. They are most abundant and diverse in habitats with sandy soil (though some prefer clay), and very often near bodies of water, even if seasonally transient; along river, sea and lake shores, on sand dunes, around playa lakebeds and on clay banks or woodland paths.

A Namaqua chameleon in threat display, Namib desert, Namibia. The chameleon was in the middle of a highway C14 and was approached to be moved off the road. The chameleon then changed its color to black and displayed its brightly colored mouth as a threat display.

Salmon egg hatching (Salmo salar) - the Alevin (larva) has grown around the remains of the yolk sac - visible are the arteries spinning around the yolk and little oildrops, also the gut, the spine, the main caudal blood vessel, the bladder and the arcs of the gills. In about 24hrs it will be a fry without yolk sac.
