Cosmodela barmanica, belong to Cicindelidae, commonly known as Common tiger beetles, are generally brightly colored and metallic beetles, often with some sort of patterning of ivory or cream-colored markings. They are most abundant and diverse in habitats with sandy soil (though some prefer clay), and very often near bodies of water, even if seasonally transient; along river, sea and lake shores, on sand dunes, around playa lakebeds and on clay banks or woodland paths.

The Common Jezebel (Delias eucharis) is a medium sized pierid butterfly found in many areas of South and Southeast Asia, especially in the non-arid regions of India, Sri Lanka, Myanmar and Thailand. The Common Jezebel is one of the most common species in the genus Delias.
The butterfly may be found wherever there are trees, even in towns and cities, flies high among the trees and comes lower down only to feed on nectar in flowers. It rests with its wings closed exhibiting the brilliantly coloured underside. Due to this habit apparently, it has evolved a dull upper-side and a brilliant underside so that birds below it recognise it immediately while in flight and at rest. The bright coloration is to indicate the fact that it is unpalatable due to toxins accumulated by the larvae from the host-plants.

Sideview of a contracted bluefire jellyfish (Cyanea lamarckii) in Brofjorden at Sandvik, Lysekil Municipality, Sweden. The jellies at this photo shoot were about 6–12 cm (2.4–4.7 in) in diameter. The blue jellies are streamlined when contracted, and the rim of their top is very lobed so when they expand to get ready for a "swim stroke", they get little resistance from the water until they are fully expanded and ready to contract again. That makes them more agile, quicker and faster swimmers than Cyanea capillata and Aurelia aurita. Their darting movements in the water are more resembling that of dragonflies than other jellies.
