Pol Espargaró, född 10 juni 1991 i staden Granollers utanför Barcelona är en katalansk (spansk) roadracingförare. Världsmästare i Moto2 säsongen 2013. Bror till roadracingföraren Aleix Espargaró.
Roadracingkarriär
Som 16-åring hade Espargaró säsongen 2007 överraskande stora framgångar i 125GP med en tredjeplats i Portugals GP och en fjärdeplats på Jerez och slutade säsongen på en niondeplats i VM. Roadracing-VM 2008 körde han vidare i 125GP, men nu för Derbis fabriksteam. Espargaró blev fyra i VM 2009 och trea 2010. Från 2011 körde han i Moto2-klassen. Säsongen 2012 tog Espargaró fyra GP-segrar och blev tvåa i VM efter Marc Márquez. Säsongen 2013 drog Scott Redding tidigt ifrån i VM-tabellen, men Espargaró började ta in försprånget under andra halvan av säsongen. När Redding bröt handleden på träningen inför Australiens GP och Espargaró vann racet var han i VM-ledning med två Grand Prix kvar och han säkrade VM-titeln med segern i Japan. Roadracing-VM 2014 gick Espargaró upp i MotoGP där han körde en Yamaha YZR M1 för Tech 3. Han blev sexa i VM och "Rookie of the Year" (årets nykomling). 2015 stannade utvecklingen upp och han blev nia i VM. Tillsammans med Katsuyuki Nakasuga och stallkamraten Bradley Smith vann Espargaró Suzuka 8-timmars för Yamaha 2015. Espargaró fortsatte hos Tech 3 säsongen 2016. Resultaten förbättrades igen, men han nådde inte någon pallplats. Espargaró kom på 8:e plats i VM sin sista säsong för Tech 3. Han försvarade också sin seger i Suzuka 8-timmars. 2016 med Nakasuga och Alex Lowes. Säsongen 2017 körde Espargaró KTM:s nya MotoGP-motorcykel. Det blev mest utvecklingsarbetet med den nya motorcykeln med en nionde plats i Australiens GP som bästa placering och en total 17:e plats i VM-tabellen. Espargaró fortsatte hos KTM Roadracing-VM 2018. Resultaten förbättrades inte jämfört med 2017, men i säsongens sista Grand Prix, i Valencia, blev han trea. Det var både Espargarós och KTM:s första pallplats i MotoGP. Totalt blev det en 14:e plats i VM. Espargaró fortsätter hos KTM Roadracing-VM 2019 med Johann Zarco som ny stallkamrat.

Flag of the Land of Valencia, 1:2 ratio
The Flag of Europe is the flag and emblem of the European Union (EU) and Council of Europe (CoE). It consists of a circle of 12 golden (yellow) stars on a blue background. It was created in 1955 by the CoE and adopted by the EU, then the European Communities, in the 1980s.
The CoE and EU are distinct in membership and nature. The CoE is a 47-member international organisation dealing with human rights and rule of law, while the EU is a quasi-federal union of 27 states focused on economic integration and political cooperation. Today, the flag is mostly associated with the latter.
It was the intention of the CoE that the flag should come to represent Europe as a whole, and since its adoption the membership of the CoE covers nearly the entire continent. This is why the EU adopted the same flag. The flag has been used to represent Europe in sporting events and as a pro-democracy banner outside the Union.
