Pauline Oliveros (2010)

Pauline Oliveros, född 30 maj 1932 i Houston i Texas, död 25 november 2016 i New York i New York,[1] var en amerikansk dragspelare och kompositör som bidragit till utvecklingen av den elektroniska konstmusiken. Under 1960-talet grundade hon San Francisco Tape Music Center och hade därefter rollen som dess dirigent. Hon har även skrivit böcker, formulerat nya musikteorier (bland annat konceptet "Deep Listening") och arbetat med musik på Mills College, University of California, San Diego (UCSD), Oberlin Conservatory of Music och Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
