Nolan Ramsey North, född 31 oktober 1970 i New Haven i Connecticut, är en amerikansk skådespelare och röstskådespelare[1].

Biografi

North har gått på University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill med ett baseboll-stipendium och läste om journalistik[1][2]. Han arbetade som reporter under nästan ett år i New Jersey innan han flyttade till New York och jobbade med ståuppkomik och skådespelning[1]. Nolan flyttade så småningom till Hollywood och gick med i tv-serien Port Charles, där han spelade som Dr. Chris Ramsey från 1997 till 2003[2][3]. Han gifte sig med skådespelerskan Jill Murray år 1999[1], som också spelade i Port Charles, och de har två barn. Efter tv-serien började han arbeta som röstskådespelare inom många datorspelsproduktioner[2].

En av hans mest anmärkningsvärda roller fick han år 2007 då han fick rollen som huvudkaraktären Nathan Drake i TV-spelet Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. Sedan dess har han fortsatt att spela som karaktären Drake i alla spelen inom Uncharted-serien. I en intervju med The Guardian berättade North att under hans spelning som Nathan Drake krävdes "mycket fantasi. Motion capture är i grunden teater inom Spandex; med ytterst lite rekvisita och man behöver en vilja av att göra en åsna av sig själv."[4] North har nominerats två gånger på Spike Video Game Awards för kategorin: "Best Performance by a Human Male" för sin roll som Nathan Drake.

Andra av hans berömda röstroller inom datorspel inkluderar hans roll som "Desmond Miles" i Assassin's Creed-serien, "The Penguin" i Batman: Arkham City, "Dr. Edward Richtofen" i Call of Duty: World at War och Call of Duty: Black Ops, "Vossler" i Final Fantasy XII och "The Prince" i Prince of Persia
