Enligt Catalogue of Life[1] ingår Mycobilimbia i familjen Lecideaceae, ordningen Lecideales, klassen Lecanoromycetes, divisionen sporsäcksvampar och riket svampar,[1] men enligt Dyntaxa[2] är tillhörigheten istället familjen Lecideaceae, klassen Lecanoromycetes, divisionen sporsäcksvampar och riket svampar.[2]
