Mari Holden, wearing the U.S. national championship jersey as the then reigning U.S. road race champion, climbs the last part of the hill towards the finish line in the Skinner's Butte Prologue Time Trial as part of the 2000 Tour of Willamette. The time trial, though only about 1 km in length, was nevertheless quite difficult due to the steepness. Starting near the edge of the Willamette River, it wound around and up the remnants of a volcanic plug to the top.
