Leymus cinereus[1] är en gräsart som först beskrevs av Frank Lamson Scribner och Elmer Drew Merrill, och fick sitt nu gällande namn av Áskell Löve. Leymus cinereus ingår i släktet strandrågssläktet, och familjen gräs.[2][3] Inga underarter finns listade i Catalogue of Life.[2]
