Le Mans Series, Le Mans Endurance Series under de första femton säsongerna, är ett sportvagnsracingmästerskap som körs som endurancerace främst i Europa. I serien ingick från början fyra klasser; LMP1, LMP2, GT1 och GT2. Under 2010 tillkom även Formula Le Mans och till 2011 kommer GT1-klassen att försvinna på grund av för få deltagare.
Historia
Serien startade 2004 med fyra race över 1000 km. Johnny Herbert och Jamie Davies vann den första säsongen för Audi i LMP1-kategorin, innan ett par år utan det namnkunniga Auditeamet såg Pescarolo Sport ta två raka titlar i LMP1-klassen. 2007 såg Peugeot ansluta sig till LMP1-klassen med sin nya 908 HDi FAP, som tog serien med storm och vann samtliga deltävlingar. 2008 tappade Peugeot överraskande titeln, till ett ensäsongssatsande Audi, som genom Alexandre Prémats och Mike Rockenfellers jämnhet kunde ta titeln i det sista racet Autosport 1000 km på Silverstone Circuit.

The Flag of Europe is the flag and emblem of the European Union (EU) and Council of Europe (CoE). It consists of a circle of 12 golden (yellow) stars on a blue background. It was created in 1955 by the CoE and adopted by the EU, then the European Communities, in the 1980s.

The CoE and EU are distinct in membership and nature. The CoE is a 47-member international organisation dealing with human rights and rule of law, while the EU is a quasi-federal union of 27 states focused on economic integration and political cooperation. Today, the flag is mostly associated with the latter.
It was the intention of the CoE that the flag should come to represent Europe as a whole, and since its adoption the membership of the CoE covers nearly the entire continent. This is why the EU adopted the same flag. The flag has been used to represent Europe in sporting events and as a pro-democracy banner outside the Union.
