IAAF World Athletics Final 2008

IAAF World Athletics Final 2008 ägde rum i Stuttgart helgen den 13 - 14 september 2008 och avslutade friidrottsåret 2008. De deltagare som under året samlat ihop flesta poäng i de tävlingar som IAAF anordnade fick delta i varje gren. Under tävlingarna slogs ett världsrekord då Barbora Špotáková kastade 72,28 i spjut.

Flag of Jamaica. “The sunshine, the land is green, and the people are strong and bold” is the symbolism of the colours of the flag. GOLD represents the natural wealth and beauty of sunlight; GREEN represents hope and agricultural resources; BLACK represents the strength and creativity of the people. The original symbolism, however, was "Hardships there are, but the land is green, and the sun shineth", where BLACK represented the hardships being faced.
