Henry Herbert, 2:e earl av Pembroke, född omkring 1534, död den 19 januari 1601, var en engelsk earl, son till William Herbert, 1:e earl av Pembroke (1501-1570), far till William Herbert, 3:e earl av Pembroke och till Philip Herbert, 4:e earl av Pembroke.

Pembroke utnämndes av drottning Elisabet 1586 till ståthållare i Wales. Hans äktenskap med lady Catherine Grey hade upplösts redan 1554.

Herberts tredje hustru, poeten Mary Herbert, grevinna av Pembroke, född omkring 1555, död 1621, var syster till skalden sir Philip Sidney samt berömd och besjungen för sin skönhet och som beskyddare åt samtidens skalder (till exempel Spenser, Daniel, Donne och Ben Jonson). Ben Jonson ägnade henne ett vackert epitafium.

Henry Herbert, 2nd Earl of Pembroke (1534-1601). The escutcheon of six quarters shows the following arms:

  • 1: Per pale azure and gules, three lions rampant argent a bordure compony (Herbert, differenced)
  • 2: Argent, two bars azure a bordure engrailed sable (Parr)
  • 3: Or, three water-bougets sable (Ross of Kendal, a Parr heiress);
  • 4: Azure, three chevrons interlaced in base or a chief of the last (FitzHugh, a Parr heiress);
  • 5: Vair, a fesse gules (Marmion, a Parr heiress);
  • 6: Or, three chevronels gules a chief vair (St. Quentin)
The arms of FitzHugh and St Quentin appear on the font of Mapelton Church, Holderness (See The coats of arms of the nobility and gentry of Yorkshire by Turner, J. Horsfall, 1911, p.185[1]).
