Europeiska cupvinnarcupen 1978/1979 vanns av Barcelona från Spanien som i finalen slog Fortuna Düsseldorf från det dåvarande Västtyskland med 4-3 i förlängning. Det var första gången en klubb från Katalonien vann turneringen.
