Europacupen i fotboll 1981/1982 vanns av Aston Villa från England då man i finalmatchen besegrade Bayern München från det dåvarande Västtyskland med 1–0 i Rotterdam den 25 maj 1982. Aston Villas unge målvakt räddade en mängd skott från de erfarna spelarna i Bayern München. Engelsmännens segermål gjordes av Peter Withe som på passning från Tony Morley skickade in bollen i mål.
Under elva säsonger i rad hade Europacupen bara vunnits av fyra lag (Ajax, Bayern München, Nottingham Forest samt Liverpool), men däremot med elva olika finalförlorare. Rekordet kunde ha fortsatt även denna säsong, men ändades alltså i och med Bayern Münchens förlust.
