Europacupen i fotboll 1969/1970 vanns av Feyenoord, Nederländerna[2] som i finalmatchen besegrade Celtic, Skottland med 2–1 på övertid i Milano den 6 maj 1970[1]. För första gången gick titeln till ett lag från Nederländerna[3], vilket också skulle komma att ske de kommande tre säsongerna. En prestation i sig var att vinnarna Feyenoord under turneringens gång inte släppte in ett enda mål på sin hemmaplan.
Inför Europacupen i fotboll 1969/1970 försvann nu den vid lika antal mål, både sammanlagt och på bortaplan (också efter förlängning), tidigare avgörande omspelsmatchen. Den ersattes av slantsingling som tidigare tillämpats först efter att en omspelsmatch slutat oavgjord efter förlängning.
