Future Soldier Interview with Actress turned Soldier Carly Schroeder
Actress Carly Schroeder, of Lizzie McGuire and Mean Creek fame, decided to move her focus from telling stories to living her own. In the spring of 2019, Schroeder entered a US Army Recruiting Station in Thousand Oaks, California, where she began the process of becoming an Army Officer. The Los Angeles Battalion's Social Media team got the opportunity to sit down with Future Soldier Schroeder shortly before she left for Basic Combat Training. Schroeder spoke candidly about her decision to join the Army over another branch, her father and brother's services to the Army and Marine Corps, respectively, and her plans and hopes for her Military Career. The Los Angeles Army Recruiting Battalion, the Rough Rider Battalion, is proud to have been a part of Carly's journey to Officership, and we are excited to see what she accomplishes as a Leader in the Army's formation.
