British Open 1996 (Castella Classic British Open) var en rankingturnering i snooker som spelades mellan 1 och 8 april 1996 i Plymouth, England. Nigel Bond vann turneringen efter att ha slagit John Higgins i finalen med 9-8. Det var Bonds första rankingtitel i karriären. I åttondelsfinalen slog han ut Stephen Hendry och fick därmed en liten revansch för finalförlusten i VM säsongen innan.
