Stationen byggdes som del i Wilmersdorf-Dahlemer-Untergrundbahn mellan Wittenbergplatz och Thielplatz som öppnade för trafik 1913.

Nörliche Vorhalle und Ausgang mit Fahrkartenschalter und einem Bild eines alten U-Bahnzuges des U-Bahnhofs Breitenbachplatz der Berliner U-Bahnlinie U3. in Berlin-Dahlem an der Grenze zu Wilmersdorf. Die südliche Vorhalle mit dem Schalter ist noch im Originalzustand. Die Vorhalle ist fast identisch mit der rekonstruierten nördlichen Vorhalle, die jedoch mit einem anderen Bild ausgestattet ist.
Dies ist der südlichste unterirdische Bahnhof der Kleinprofil-Linie U3. Die Linie wurde 1913 bis zu dieser Station in Betrieb genommen. Auch die nördlichen Bahnhöfe auf der Linie U3 sind sehenswert, da die damalige noch selbständige Stadt Wilmersdorf ihren Reichtum zur Schau stellen wollte.

Berlin Subway Extension—Breitenbachplatz Station Built with Doric Columns and Flat Ceiling point which shows the daylight gratings generally in-stalled in these stations. The track and third-rail construction of this subwaysection does not differ materially from that of the mainline of the Berlin Elevated & Underground Railway.The rolling stock is also of standard design with sec- linerplatz to Berlin leaves at 5:15 a. m. and the lasttrain in is due at 1:30 a. m. The shuttle service beginsat 6 a. m. and ends at 1 a. m. Within the Wilmersdorfterritory the service is two and one-half minutes, inthe intermediate territory toward Dahlem six minutes,and to the end of the line twelve minutes. The total 358 ELECTRIC RAILWAY JOURNAL (Vol. XLIII, No. 7. length of the line, embracing nine stations, is 6.2 miles.All of the work was carried out by the Siemens &Halske Company, Berlin, except that the tunnels andcuts at Dahlem were made by Haberman & Guckes,Kiel.
