Boxningsprogrammet vid de olympiska sommarspelen 2008 i Peking arrangerades i Arbetarhallen, Kina.
Under OS 2008 i Peking, tilldelades inom boxningen medaljer i elva grenar (viktklasser). Vid dessa olympiska spel fick kvinnor för sista gången inte delta i boxningen, efter att den Internationella Olympiska Kommittén hade godkänt den kvinnliga boxningen för OS i London 2012. Precis som vid de andra kampsporterna under OS så tilldelades det två bronsmedaljer; inom boxning får de två förlorarna i semifinalerna ta emot bronsmedaljerna, utan någon bronsmatch. 44 medaljer var tillgängliga varav 22 är bronsmedaljer.
Viktklasser
- Lätt flugvikt, får väga som mest 48 kg
- Flugvikt, får väga som mest 51 kg
- Bantamvikt, får väga som mest 54 kg
- Fjädervikt, får väga som mest 57 kg
- Lättvikt, får väga som mest 60 kg
- Lättwelter, får väga som mest 64 kg
- Weltervikt, får väga som mest 69 kg
- Mellanvikt, får väga som mest 72,64 kg
- Lättungvikt, får väga som mest 81 kg, inom professionell boxning går gränsen vid 79,3 kg (jämför Cruiservikt).
- Tungvikt, för tungvikt skall boxarna väga mellan 81 och 91 kg. Inom professionell boxning ska en tungviktare väga minst 79,3 kg. (jfr Cruiservikt)
- Supertungvikt, den tyngsta viktklassen i boxning och har ingen övre gräns. Boxarna kan således väga hur mycket som helst. Supertungvikt har funnits med i de olympiska spelen från och med Los Angeles-OS 1984.

The official ISIRI standard (translation at FotW) gives two slightly different methods of construction for the flag: a compass-and-straightedge construction used for File:Flag of Iran (official).svg, and a "simplified" construction sheet with rational numbers used for this file.
