Balestrands kommun (norska: Balestrand kommune) var en kommun i Sogn og Fjordane fylke i västra Norge. Den administrativa huvudorten var tätorten Balestrand. Kommunen upphörde 31 december 2019 då den tillsammans med Leikangers kommun slogs ihop med Sogndals kommun.[8]
Kommunen omfattade en del av Jostedalsbreen nationalpark.

The arms show the geographical layout of the county: three large fjords protruding into the land. The three fjords are the Nordfjord, Sunnfjord and Sognefjord. As nearly all villages and towns are situated on one of these fjords and the name of the county is based on the fjords.
