Asiatiska spelen 2018, även kända som den XVIII Asiaden, hölls i Jakarta och Palembang i Indonesien mellan den 18 augusti och 2 september 2018, det var de artonde asiatiska spelen. Samtliga de 45 medlemsländerna i Asiens olympiska råd deltog i spelen och totalt deltog 11300 aktiva i 465 tävlingar i 40 olika sporter.[1]
Detta var den andra gången spelen anordnades i Indonesien och den första någonsin de hållits i två städer. Jakarta hade tidigare stått värd för spelen 1962.[1]
Totalt delades 1552 medaljer ut (465 guld, 465 silver och 622 brons). Av de 45 deltagande länderna tog 36 minst en medalj. Det land som tog flest guldmedaljer var Kina (132 stycken), följt av Japan (75 stycken) och Sydkorea (49 stycken).[2][3] Under tävlingarna sattes sex nya världsrekord, 18 asiatiska rekord och 86 mästerskapsrekord.[4]
Sporter
Totalt anordnades 465 tävlingar i 40 olika sporter.[1] Programmet var det näst största i spelens historia efter Guangzhou 2010 och inkluderade samtliga olympiska sporter utom surfing.[5] Demonstrationssporter var e-sport och kanotpolo.[6]

Medaljfördelning
Kina dominerade tävlingarna och tog 132 guldmedaljer, värdnationen Indonesien presterade bättre än i de tidigare asiatiska spel de deltagit i och tog 31 guldmedaljer och 98 medaljer totalt.[3][7]

Deltagande nationer
Samtliga 45 medlemsländer i Asiens olympiska råd deltog i spelen.[1] I några sporter deltog Nordkorea och Sydkorea med ett gemensamt lag.[8]

Flag of Iran. The tricolor flag was introduced in 1906, but after the Islamic Revolution of 1979 the Arabic words 'Allahu akbar' ('God is great'), written in the Kufic script of the Qur'an and repeated 22 times, were added to the red and green strips where they border the white central strip and in the middle is the emblem of Iran (which is a stylized Persian alphabet of the Arabic word Allah ("God")).
The official ISIRI standard (translation at FotW) gives two slightly different methods of construction for the flag: a compass-and-straightedge construction used for File:Flag of Iran (official).svg, and a "simplified" construction sheet with rational numbers used for this file.

According to the official website of Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee, Blue Sky(circle) & White Sun(triangles) above the Olympic rings is neither the National Emblem of the Republic of China, nor the Party Emblem of Kuomintang (KMT), but a design in between, where the triangles do not extend to the edge of the blue circle, as registered at International Olympic Committee in 1981 and digitally rendered in 2013. Besides, the blue outline of the five-petaled plum blossom is broader than the red one. Moreover, the CMYK code of the blue one and the Blue Sky & White Sun is "C100-M100-Y0-K0", and different from the Olympic rings (C100-M25-Y0-K0). Note that it's the only version recognized by IOC.
