Armas Rudolf Taipale, född 27 juli 1890 i Helsingfors, död 9 november 1976 i Åbo, var en finländsk diskuskastare.
Hans främsta merit var guldmedaljen under OS 1912 i Stockholm. Han representerade Finland under tre olympiader: 1912, 1920 och 1924[1]. Han emigrerade till USA 1923.

Flag of Jamaica. “The sunshine, the land is green, and the people are strong and bold” is the symbolism of the colours of the flag. GOLD represents the natural wealth and beauty of sunlight; GREEN represents hope and agricultural resources; BLACK represents the strength and creativity of the people. The original symbolism, however, was "Hardships there are, but the land is green, and the sun shineth", where BLACK represented the hardships being faced.
