Herrarnas 3000 meter hinder vid olympiska sommarspelen 2012, i London i Storbritannien avgjordes den tredje och femte augusti på Londons Olympiastadion.[1] Tävlingen inleddes med en försöksomgång där alla deltagare deltog för att kvalificera sig till finalen. I finalen deltog 15 idrottare,[2] i Peking 2008 var 15 atleter kvalificerade till finalen.[3] Brimin Kipruto från Kenya var regerande mästare efter segern i Peking 2008.[3]
