1140 Sixth Avenue, at the corner of 44th Street in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, was originally an "L" shaped building designed by Harry Tuttle and was completed in 1926. Later, the corner lot was infilled with a building of equal height designed by Schuman & Lichtenstein and Kahn & Jacobs. In 1969, the building's facade was reclad by Hausman & Rosenberg Architects.
