An apparently unconcerned Diana Ziliute looks on passively while wannabe bike mechanic Valerijus Konovalos (Lithuanian national women's coach) makes an adjustment to her time trial bike with a hacksaw! Actually, they had just installed some aero bars and Konovalos was cutting off the protruding ends of the new bars. It's not everyday you get to take a hacksaw to a $5,000 Pinarello! This photo was taken in Stanley, Idaho just prior to the Stanley Time Trial (stage 3 of the 2002 Women's Challenge).
