Jacques Delors, President of the CEC, and Frans Andriessen, Vice-President of the CEC in charge of External Relations and Trade Policy and Cooperation with other European Countries, received Valentin Pavlov, Prime Minister of the Soviet Union. Discussions related to the circumstances of the moment and the prospects of the cooperation between the EC and the Soviet Union. Both sides also discussed the implementing of the financial support decided at the Rome Summit as regards technical assistance and food aid.
