The U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Independence (CV-62) underway as a Grumman F-14A Tomcat of Fighter Squadron 154 (VF-154) "Black Knights" is launched during flight operations, 10 March 1996. Independence, with assigned Carrier Air Wing 5 (CVW-5), was deployed to the Western Pacific from 9 February to 27 March 1996.
