Old dry Pine (Pinus sylvestris) near lake Tyren, Gagnef municipality, Sweden. The tree, which is dendrochronologicaly investigated through a number of cores taken with increment borer, started to grow around 1320 and the youngest ring measured is from 1709. The tree has recorded a number of wild fires among others 1637 and 1703
