Trypethelium virens Tuck. ex Michener, 1853 (photograph of a herbarium specimen taken through a dissecting microscope (x6) showing pseudostromata with perithecia) Growing on bark of shaded Beech on Division Road, ca. 1 mile W of State Road, Emmet County, Michigan, USA; collected and identified by Richard E. Riefner (No. 81-660, 7 Aug 1981); specimen is now in the Lichen Herbarium of the New York Botanical Garden.
