Thomas Fanshawe (1721–1797), 5th of Parsloes Manor House in Dagenham (demolished in 1925), painted ca. 1770. Fanshawe was the son of Thomas Fanshawe 4th and his wife Frances Clerke, and succeeded the tithe of Dagenham. He married in 1745 Ann Gascoyne, daughter of Sir Crispe Gascoyne, who was a brewer and the first Lord Mayor of London to live in the recently completed Mansion House in London.
