Rystad kyrka old organ painting
Painting from early 17th Century, maybee from the organ that came to Rystad church in 1645, Diocese of Linköping, Linköpings kommun, Sweden
Picture program:
Mose on the left with the two stonetables of God's Law (for the Old Testament)
Peter on the right with the keys (for the New Testament)
In the middle a scene illustrating a Bible word from Jesaja, chapter 6; It describes Jesaja being appointed as a prophete. An angel is coming with glowing charcoal to purify his lips for the words of God.
Perhaps the use for an organ chest makes this sense: the pipes of this organ shall only sound to the glory of god.
The form of the wooden parts is very similar to organs of the time mentioned above.
