Picture shows the gondola mounting of a small ropeway, for example a gondola lift or a chairlift. The mounting consists of a metal crank which is clamped by two steel springs. In normal lift mode the crank fixes the gondola at the steel rope (left from top to bottom of the picture). When entering a terminal, the clamp is opened by mechanical pressing.
