Beskrivning:
Polycrase-(Y) is a rare multiple-oxide containing Y, U, Ti or Nb and is mainly found in pegmatites. Specimens labeled as being from this obscure locality may be from a pegmatite district around the cities of Rio Pomba and Uba (MINDAT). Specimens of any species are rare from this district. This is a stout, terminated, euhedral, prismatic crystal with an orangish-brown oxidation rind. The minimal bruising reveals the high waxy lustre and moderate translucence of the chocolate-brown crystal with orange highlights. Very rarely available. Ex. Josef Vajdak Collection.
Size: 5.2 x 2.7 x 2.0 cm.
