Part of the pit/flatlands and the quay of the old Rixö granite quarry. The quarry was operated by Skandinaviska Granit AB in 1875-1964 and most of the granite shipped from the quay was used to construct Autobahn in Germany. Only a small part of the quarry is still in operation and the flatland is mainly used for constructing concrete pontoon jetties. In the distance is Ryxö island, Preemraff Lysekil Oil Refinery and the inlet of Brofjorden. Photo taken from a ledge on Busberget overlooking the old granite quarry.
