Max Johann Markus Schobert was SS-Sturmbannführer and commandant of the Abteilung Schutzhaftlager ('protective custody') at Buchenwald concentration camp. In the Buchenwald Camp Trial (part of the Dachau Trials) he was sentenced to death by hanging.
