Teneral male of the White-faced Darter (Leucorrhinia dubia) in the Ahlenmoor, a peatland in northern Lower Saxony, Germany.
The specimen has been identified als a male due to the form of the long upper appendices and the marking of the abdomen, female animals are many more heavyset. Probably it hatched just a few days ago and it will take still another week until all now yellow appearing ranges are red colored.
