Plate with several illustrations of sigmodontine rodents. Identifications:

• Figs. 1-4: Hesperomys ratticeps = Sooretamys angouya (Syn. Oryzomys angouya).
• Figs. 5-8: Hesperomys laticeps var. intermedia = Euryoryzomys russatus (Musser et al., 1998, fig. 137, caption).
• Figs. 9-11: Hesperomys flavescens = Oligoryzomys flavescens
• Figs. 12-14: Hesperomys dorsalis = Delomys dorsalis
• Figs. 15-22: Hesperomys subterraneus var. henseli = Thaptomys nigrita
• Figs. 23-28: Hesperomys arenicola = Akodon azarae
• Figs. 29-30: Hesperomys nasutus = Oxymycterus nasutus

Identifications are given by Leche (1886) and updated to current taxonomy. He may have misidentified some specimens.
