Kroisos Kouros. Parian marble. Found in Anavyssos, Attica. This is a funerary statue, found on the grave of Kroisos, as is indicated by the epigram on the base: Stop, and mourn at the grave of the dead Kroisos, whom the raging Ares destroyed when he fought among the defenders. Ca 530 BCE. N°3851
