The en:Kalmar Nyckel leaves en:Lewes, Delaware for an evening cruise. The ship is a replica of a Dutch built, armed merchant ship, called a en:pinnace, constructed in about 1625, that carried Swedish settlers to establish the colony of en:New Sweden in 1638, an area that is now en:Wilmington, Delaware.
