Image from 1911, of the Telegrafvæsenet (Telecom) facility erected that year at Grønfjord, Spitsbergen, Svalbard. At this time, Spitsbergen was mainly inhabited by employees of the Arctic Coal Company (U.S.). The telegraph station was established during summer, 1911, and this photo is taken either by station officers or someone else.
