The Genius of Liberty, by Augustin Dumont (French, 1801–1884), topping the July Column at the Place de la Bastille in Paris. Gilt bronze, 1833. H. 4 m (13 ft. 1 ¼ in.). A bronze draft of the same work is also exhibited in the Louvre Museum (RF 680).
