In 2003, the portion of the population of Castilleja christii not included in the Mount Harrison Research Natural Area (RNA) was designated as the Mount Harrison Botanical Special Interest Area (BSIA). Interpretive education is an integral part of this species’ conservation program. Located in the Albion Mountains of Sawtooth National Forest, Idaho.
