Image of part of the king list at Abydos, created during the reign of Seti I. Depicted are Seti I, and his son Ramesses II; the hairstyle of the son is a signifier of his princedom.

The son holds censers, and he and his father are on the way to make offerings to Ptah-Seker-Osiris (an amalgam of Ptah, Seker, and Osiris), on behalf of his 72 ancestors - which are then listed in cartouches.

On this image, the cartouches depict, from left to right:

  • Top row - Menes, Teti, Djer, Djet
  • Middle row - Merenre Nemtyemsaf II, Netjerkare, Menkare, Neferkare II
  • Bottom row - Sety I (throne name), Sety I (praenomen), Sety I (throne name), Sety I (praenomen)
