Ruins of Tannenberg Castle, Odenwald Mountains, Hesse, Germany. View of the Bergfried (main tower) from the south. The tower was reconstructed up to a height of 4 meters. On the right side a great stone ball is visible: It has a diametre of 60 cm and was thrown into the castle by a trebuchet during the famous siege of 1399.
